Day of Rest, April 17, 2006

I am exhausted! We have seen much and absorbed much. I can honestly say that I am sitting in the passanger seat throughout my parent's adventures. With every different tour guide (and there have been many between Simon, family and friends) I learned something new and different about my precious DK. I am beginning to realize that being a tourist is not such a bad thing. The magic of saying, "I don't know" is powerful and can be cured with one mere utterance and this is what a tourist is basically saying. "Teach me more" or "I want to know about this castle" or "this church" or "this building because I don't know." I feel so knowledgeable now!

Anyway, my parents are having a good time. My dad's gout doesn't seem to bother him much. I have cooked in thier presence, demonstrated that I can get around on my own and I think it is safe to say that they are proud. Now, let me get back to my rest...we have about four more days to go.

Thanks for joining Otis and Sue as they trapes Denmark.
