Our anniversary was yesterday
So my honey and I derived a getaway
Not far from our fairy tale land
Where the chocolate is sweeter
And the "Turning Torso" stands.

Sweden is where we opted to go
The weather man predicted the wind will blow
“And prepare for the roads to get icy”, he said
I put down my J Crew slide-ons
And chose my snow boots instead.

We got on a train in Koge and sat sail
With Pringles and Coke our plan could not fail.
I recalled our honeymoon, on our way there
I felt Simons hand close over mine
My face was turned but I knew his stare.

Upon arrival my eyes fixed on The Savoy Hotel
For two days and two nights it is here we would dwell
As did Judy Garland, Duke Ellington, Ray Charles and the like
Goodness me, I am name dropping,
But it is them with the mic.

With a trendy restaurant situated on the bottom floor
Hungry, Simon and I did not have time to explore
We dropped our things off on our bedroom couch
I dreamed of all the good food
Then, we stuffed our mouths.

The weather mans predictions were right of course
Baby it was cold outside, but it did not take much force
To get us out the very next day
We were in downtown Malmo,
A city by the bay.

We had a good time seeing new things
H & M made my heart sing
We saw Pride and Prejudice later that night
(Mrs. Bennett’s poor nerves)
And ate the chocolate to my delight.

After our adventure had came to a close
There is only one thing that I can clearly disclose
To you, my love ones, with a listening ear,
"We are happy to be married
And celebrate by saying, 'Smeer!'"
