Life has been quite “normal” here in Denmark: nothing too new and exciting. It is Saturday morning 11:15 and Simon and I are still walking around in our pajamas. Friday evenings are our relaxing times from an eventful week with kids, teachers and for me, preparing food. Saturday mornings follow, which are hardly any different than the previous evening.

A few things have happened this past month that God has blessed us with. We got new couches for our living room…letting our “black” couch go to Inger and Jorg! They have been a fantastic to lounge around on. Lately Simon and I have been listening to stories told over the internet while relaxing in corduroy cream luxury. It is hard to get your body motivated to go to bed after such sessions. I covered Simon’s office chair as well. We love the chair but were not as keen on the brown wool 1980’s material. Now it kinda looks like a race car chair.

Among the home necessities, Simon celebrated 26 years of life August 30. We enjoyed an evening with Charlotte and Inger at an impeccable restaurant on Koge’s harbor. Simon received more resting tools for his birthday acquiring the Battlefield 2 PC game, a book and a magazine subscription. For the next couple of months I don’t think that we will have a problem with rest. Charlotte gave him a capo for his guitar and Andre a dvd.

Our youth group, Knock-Out, has launched again. (Expect a separate blog for this focus.)

My job at the school is going good. It has been fun being a kid again! We color, jump on the trampoline, play basketball, eat “saft af mel” (juice and food), sing songs and sometimes watch movie. Communication with them can be frustrating at times but I get to practice during the day with the kids and the study by night so I really can’t complain. Simon and I are working together, which I thought would be the most challenging part, but it really hasn’t been. Most of the time we are doing our jobs and don’t really get a chance to see each other but when we do we flirt and then off on our merry way again. He starts back studying Anthropology in February. We’ll probably be poor but we trust God will provide. My, He has done a wonderful job thus far!

Skål to all! Missing you and praying you will be blessed.
