Here is a little look into our town, Koge. It is small and quaint and we love it. Our grocery store is almost the same size as an American convient store. Though there are other larger stores this particular one, Netto, is cheaper. We go here as often as we can until we need somthing not-so-normal to DK like...cheddar cheese for example. Another thing about Koge: you will find many places having small things sitting outside that you can buy. They are usually sale items or items that are not that expensive and can tolerate a little weather. Danes are famous for thier flowers so you will find florist around every corner. Also, bakeries. Though many stores carry bread it is best to get it fresh from a bakery. You will find an assortment of breads here, as well, but surprisingly NO danishes. Ask a baker if they have them in their shops and many will look confused and offer you sma kage aka. little cakes with marzipan and chocolate on it, instead. After I lived here for a while I finally got used to it. Lastly, a quaint town is not quaint unless it has markets. Koge holds a market in the middle of the square every Wednesdays and Saturdays. I always buy my flowers here. If you are thinking about coming to visit Simon and I's house is overflowing with flowers of all kinds.
Just some little insight on our small by (boo), Koge.
