First Day of School

Yesterday was the first day of school. Many of the kids were excited to come back and rejoin their old friends that they haven't seen in a long time. Most of them had stories to tell and big experiences to share with one another. As always, the kids seemed ready to learn, but as we all know, those interests fade away as soon as the homework is assigned.

For Simon and I it is back to work. I am still doing the afterschool program called SFO. You will see me write about it a bunch I am sure. It lasts from 12-3 each week day. I am also helping with an English class on Wednesday for a coupla hours. Simon is the man behind the scenes and is in charge of all the computers in the building. That is about 35. You factor in studying at the university and those 35 computers...that's a big job!

We are excited about the school year and ready to start fresh but yawl can pray for us if you will! I will need a bunch of confidence to use my Danish this year with the kids and other teachers. Simon, as you can see, will have a busy schedule which requires strength and time to rest as well.

I'm stoked about all the blogs that are out there now. I feel connected with people that I would usually not stay in touch with as much! Fred fra Danmark!
