Blah, Blah, Blah!

Denmark does not seem the most likely place to witness temperatures above 75 but it just happened this week. The children in SFO are outside all the time not one of them wanting to miss a moment utilizing this wonderful weather.

My SFO days have been very pleasurable lately. After picking up the language a little bit more I have gained opportunities to get to know the kids and thier personalities. It has been a great gain. Talking fluently in Danish to adults still remains a challenge, however. I can get bits and pieces together, spit them out, but I always trail back into English, my language that fortunately most can understand. Tomorrow Simon and I have an appointment with my case worker on actual language school. I am starting to long for the days that I am able to talk to everyone and expand my social horizons. I can't complain though. I am thankful for what I have! Simon says I am TOO hard on myself!

Speaking of: About eight of English speaking folks (two faroe islanders, three americans, two danes and an ethiopian) have started a small group that meets at Simon and I's house every Wednesday. We are going on our third month sharing and fellowshipping (is that a word?) about what is going on in our lives and all the crazy paths that God is leading us down. It has been a great experience getting to know other people from other places and cultures...we shall miss it when we part for the summer. This Wednesday, today, we will be having a cook out. Perhaps I will be posting pictures of this soon.

Hmm, what else? Brooke comes in little under a week and a half and you know how excited I am for that! Brooke, pray for the weather, babe! The temps are supposed to drop again to lower 60.

Anyway, I'm done here. I have hamburger patties to prepare. Much love, Cherckas
