After a smooth flight into Jamaica and rampant one hour drive to Negril from our cabdriver, Scott, we arrived at our honeymoon destination "The Caves". Upon being greeted with a tasty drink Simon and I signed some papers, recieved a brief tour throughout the property and were escorted to our room. Sweet bliss!
We spent a week soaking our bodies in warm sunlight, relaxing as our raft drifted far from the shore, saving a bee from a near death experience, and being waited on hand and foot.
The funny thing is, that after our fabulous vacation we were ready to leave. I was ready to face the sad goodbyes on the OB and we were both ready to settle into our new surroundings in Denmark.
When we arrived to the Outer Banks I was warmly welcomed by Sally. She piggy jumped into the air with excitement. All four legs were lifted from the ground with glee. Suddenly I noticed her nose pointing up as her snobbery returned rapidly. She fell to her side and told me of the pain and agony felt when Simon and I left for our honeymoon. Her ganddaddy made up the hurt with cheese.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that my friends did not react this way at all. Instead, with encouraging words they greeted me but lovingly pushed me away as well. They are far less selfish then my stubborn bassett hound.
Now I am here in DK speaking English but I have sticky notes up all over the place so that I can now learn what the object is Danish. Yep, soon I'll be Danglish.
